Simran KS Lamba a self taught artist, plans to take the art world by storm. Conceptualizing and assimilating a new medium, Molten Coal Tar meshed with a variety of solid and liquid metals on Canvas and using them in bold abstractions. The artist's compiled varied artwork will be showcased in his solo exhibition titled  “Genesis” at Kala Academy Goa Arts Gallery as a part of SAFF'10.

Genesis is a  line of paintings in the genre of Mixed Media where the artist and filmmaker has depicted a variety of motifs and images through the use of Coal Tar and other industrious materials in the "Drip" style, achieving a blend of abstract and yet familiar forms.  Images are often juxtaposed with texture, giving the work a unique three- dimensional look, as the artist believes in treatment and technique being critical at every stage.
